Hey you,

First things first, thank you for being here. I really appreciate you! â€‹

Secondly, this has been one of the scariest things I have done. I am not one to share my writing with anyone except my professors in college and now I have decided to share it with the internet? 2020? What is going on! I actually decided it was time I shared my thoughts with anyone willing to read this. I am extremely passionate about mental health and wanted to create a safe space for those battling mental illnesses.

I struggled (still do sometimes) with anxiety and depression for an extremely long time. I have had my good days and bad as we all have. The only thing I wished for is compassion, love, and understanding from my family and friends during those times. However, I have come to learn that not many people know what to do when their loved ones are diagnosed with mental illnesses. My motto here is - REthink your previous notions on mental health and mental disorders and REach out to your loved ones and try to be proactive in their healing journey.

I write these posts for the person struggling with their mental health, you will never be alone. There is always a support system wanting to help you, reach out to them. I also write these posts for the family, friends and acquaintances who do not know how to help their loved ones. Rethink what you know about mental health and be the support that your loved one needs.

Some fun (and not-so-fun) facts about me:

I love being creative (still learning how to illustrate, please bear with me)
